Can fasting stop the "aging cascade"?

Imagine if you will.......

There are no age related diseases.

Never have been. Never will be.

Aging and age-related degeneration is simply progressive, diminishing organ functioning.

Over time and exposed to overfeeding and the Standard American Diet, organs that make digestive enzymes secrete less enzymes causing the immune system to degenerate. The degenerated immune system loses the ability to mobilize as effectively when the body is attacked. Liver and kidney efficiency declines. The adrenals tire, becoming incapable of dumping massive amounts of stress-handling hormones or of repeating that effort time after time without considerable rest in between. The consequences of these interdependent deteriorations is a cascade of deterioration that contributes to even more rapid deteriorations. The name for this cascading process is aging.

Long fasts (between 7 and 21 days) repair and rebuild poorly functioning organs following the initial period of concentrated detoxification. These repaired organs then function more optimally, extending the life span of the organism, which in this case would be the human.

Imagine that.

Imagine fasting for that long though? You'd look like a death camp survivor, not mention how miserable you'd probably feel.

you would absolutely not. a bit of research and you would hear stories of people who have done that and more and cured themselves of diseases that modern medicine and american doctors have written off as incurable.

yeah, you would not! especially not if you entered your fast with the right attitude and focus. people who enter a fast to drop pounds quickly, with resentment for their body in their hearts, are surely to feel the good effects of fasting much less. as for the death camp survivor part, those people were stricken with grief and terror, neither of which should be emotions you experience while fasting.

I think many people have such a strong visceral reaction to the practice of fasting because as humans, we have invested a lot of emotions and trust in food to make us feel better. So naturally the subconscious mind recoils at even the mere idea of not being able to grab something to eat when we feel unwanted emotions.
